University representative in the Parliament of the People`s Republic of China

In June 24, in Beijing, the capital of China, the International Forum "Promoting Chinese Culture Abroad" was held.

The highest level of the Forum is also shown by the venue - the National People's Congress (NPC), which is the supreme legislative body (parliament) of the People's Republic of China, and also the supreme body of state power of the country. The forum was supported by the Foundation for the Development of Chinese Education Abroad and the Institute of World Religions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The event gathered more than 300 representatives from various universities in China, Spain, Britain, Portugal, Germany, Ethiopia. The Russian Federation was represented by Tatyana Urzhumtseva, Director of the Center for the Study of China and the Asia-Pacific Region at UNECON, who spoke on "Prospects for the Development of Russian-Chinese Cooperation in Education." One of the important outcomes of the Forum was the announcement of the launch of a new project "Special researches of the sinologists of the" One Belt - One Way "initiative in the 13th Five-Year Plan", in which our university will play one of the key roles. Tatyana Urzhumtseva received a commemorative award for her outstanding achievements in promoting Chinese culture abroad.
