The project is dedicated to the research of the European HEIs’ experience in cooperation with employers and policy makers for providing the quality of higher education that meets the demands of the labor market. The project was conceived as a platform for constructive dialogue between employers and academic community. Within the framework of the project a series of thematic round tables and conferences will be organized to share opinions and elaborate some recommendations. SPbSUE has finished implementation of Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project
“Cooperation of Universities and Employers
for Quality and Relevance of Education”

According to the results of the verification of the Final Report of project implementation by the European Commission, IAC Project “Cooperation of Universities and Employers for Quality and Relevance of Education” was approved and successfully finished.
The Project aimed at study of European HEIs’ experience in cooperation with employers and policy makers; facilitation of the dialogue between all stakeholders as well as dissemination of the accumulated knowledge in Russia.
Project events were dedicated to different issues of University-Business cooperation (UBC): priorities and trends of UBC in Europe at the current stage; innovations in education programmes; features of Lifelong Learning development; correlation between occupational standards and skills map; UBC in R&D; mobility of students, teachers and business representatives; recognition of non-formal learning; comparison of UBC models and tools in Russia and Europe; ways to overcome youth unemployment.
More than 60 reports were presented during Project Roundtables and Conferences; a business game for students and a study visit were organized. More than 600 participants attended Project events, including 20 European experts, teachers and students of more than 30 SPb HEIs and 10 Russian HEIs, more than 50 representatives of business and associations, representatives of 4 Committees of St, Petersburg Government.
The most significant event of the Project was international conference “Cooperation of Universities and Employers”, which was held on March 1-2, 2018 in the framework of Saint Petersburg International Labour Forum – the largest platform in Russia for discussing the issues related to the development of human capital.
