The 25th anniversary of the first graduation of EMBA “Management of Enterprise” programme

On 28 September 2019 Higher Economic School of St Petersburg State University of Economics hold a meeting of alumni and lecturers dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first graduation of EMBA “Management of Enterprise” programme.

The programme was developed in creative cooperation with the French partners from ESIDEC Higher International School of Commerce from Metz and we still fruitfully work together.

At the same time, the programme is constantly developing and has obtained new international partners, including University of Wisconsin-Parkside (USA), Université Paris-Est Créteil (France), CIATT consulting company (France), N.L.Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research (India), etc.

When the programme was created in the beginning of 1990s, many people were skeptical about the “survivability” of MBA programmes in Russia. However, the vitality and success of EMBA “Management of Enterprise” programme prove the opposite: in 1993 it became the first MBA-level programme in St Petersburg and since then the students have been coming to it every year.

The alumni were welcome by Hughes de Chavagnac, general consul of the French Republic in St Petersburg, Iana Klementovichus, director of Higher Economic School, vice-rector for additional professional education of SPbSUE, Valentin Galenko, scientific chancellor of Higher Economic School of SPbSUE, author and director of EMBA “Management of Enterprise” programme, Thierry Jean, ex-director of ESIDEC Higher International School of Commerce, Jean-Pierre Mourot, consultant of EMBA “Management of Enterprise” programme, Eric Hertzler, vice-dean for international relations of the Faculty of Economics  and Management of the Université Paris-Est Créteil, co-director of International MBA programme of the Eiffel School of Management, Yves Attou, president of the Lifelong Learning World Committee, Seema Saini, CEO of the N.L.Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research,  lecturers and consultants of the programme as well as Olga Tabelova, manager of EMBA “Management of Enterprise” programme, manager of international projects.

During the meeting the alumni returned to the classrooms and in cooperation with the lecturers refreshed their knowledge and “fighting spirit” by working at the case prepared by the French colleagues especially for this event.

The meeting was continued by friendly informal buffet.

We are proud of our alumni, their achievements in business, and we really appreciate that during these 25 years they have supported the programme and contributed to its success!
