Coronavirus infection prevention measures

Dear students and staff members!

Administration of the University is taking all the possible measures to prevent Coronavirus (COVID -19) from getting spread at the University and the city.

Taking into account a pandemic wave of COVID – 19, starting from March, 17 2020 UNECON has been working partially online.

All the lectures are to be delivered by means of distant learning (e-learning) technologies.

Starting from March , 23 2020 the University employees are restricted from personal reception of inquiries offline.

All the personal inquiries are to be sent to Document control department by email:

Following recommendations of the Chief Medical Officer of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science and Government of St. Petersburg, UNECON imposes the measures below:

  1. Lecturers and students of all majors and training programmes (Bachelor, Master training, intermediate professional training) are to switch over to the distant learning (e-learning) technologies (Moodle, emails etc.)

  2. The University rooms and premises, as well as, all the contact surfaces, are to be disinfected with proper detergents

  3. Some canteens are to be closed up as means to avoid big groups of people staying together in the same room. Canteens at Griboedova canal, Kuznechny pereulok, and Moskovsky prospekt are to be kept open under the proper sanitary surveillance

  4. Ventilation of all the rooms are to be held every 2 hours

  5. At the moment the University is getting to purchase special equipment allowing to check the body temperature at distance to control everyone enetering the University

  6. Medical examination of students and employees is to be carried out when required. Security service of the University is allowed to prevent from entering those with viral symptoms (cough, runny nose, sneezing etc)

  7. Students and employees are strongly recommended refraining from business and personal trips and avoiding crowded places

  8. We would like to remind that each of us is responsible for their health. Where there are th first symptoms of the disease, we strongly recommend refraining from going to the University and other public places and calling for a doctor.
