Scientific Russian-German seminar "The Future of the European Union"

November 2, 2017, within the framework of the meeting of the International Discussion Club, a scientific Russian-German seminar "The Future of the European Union" was held.

The seminar was organized and conducted by the Director of the Russian-German Center, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Banks, Financial Markets and Insurance Tatiana Nikitina.

A guest of our University, Professor of the High School of Economics and Law, Berlin, in his report touched on extremely interesting topics concerning the history of the creation, symptoms and causes of crisis phenomena in the European Union, and also presented his point of view on possible ways out of the difficult situation caused by both political and economic factors.

The vice-rector for scientific work of our University Elena Gorbashko, the dean of the Economics and Finance Department Irina Evstafieva, the head of the Representative Office of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce in St. Petersburg Ekaterina Kudinova, Vyacheslav Kruglov, who for a long time served as the Vice-Rector for International relations, took part in the meeting of the International Discussion Club. Also there were teachers of the German language department Anna Lomonosova and Olga Palehova. The seminar was also attended by students of the Faculty of Humanities, direction "Linguistics".
